Josef Vogt Foundation

Non-profit foundation under civil law

The gap between the first and third worlds has become so wide that there is an immediate danger. It is no longer just about Christian worldviews, but about a sustainable future for the third world that restores economic and ecological balance.

The Josef Vogt Foundation aims to help people in Africa, primarily in Tanzania, to ensure they have sufficient access to the necessities of life. This includes, first and foremost, clean drinking water and locally sourced food. However, as a longer-term goal, it also includes education in all its forms.

The foundation aims to generate momentum through targeted projects that later become "lighthouse projects" and reach a wider audience. This can be achieved through the transfer of know-how, technical assistance, training, and seed capital.

The foundation will only undertake projects that it can support in the long term. This can be achieved through on-site personnel as well as regular visits.

It is important that the cultural and local conditions are the focus of the aid. The fundamental goal here is "helping people to help themselves," so that as many people as possible can benefit.

The foundation recognizes no religious or ethnic barriers and seeks cooperation with church and state organizations as well as with non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

We thank everyone who supports our foundation, both ideologically and materially. Sustainable project work is only possible if the financial foundation is also sustainable. We are very grateful that this has been possible for many years thanks to your donations and are also pleased to pass on the gratitude of the people affected in Tanzania.
